Although it’s puzzlingly marketed as “light and portable” by the company, make no mistake: Vizio’s MT11X-A1 is really big. The 11.6-inch tablet is decidedly hefty, and portability is clearly not its primary selling point. It isn’t especially outsized for its class, however, and although it practically looks more like a television than a tablet, it offers a fairly thin and attractive aesthetic.
The 1080p display is good, but it may not be enough to separate the MT11X from its competitors. While the specifications are decent, the tablet also lacks high-end performance. This immediately places the device at a disadvantage, and that will only become more pronounced as newer, more powerful tablets start to roll off the production line. Its primary selling point seems to be its large size and attractive styling, but that may not be enough to justify the purchase.
