Onda v80 Plus Review

Last Updated on March 29, 2020

Onda is another Chinese company that has managed to produce some decent devices in the last couple of years. Their newest model, the V80 Plus is another dual boot tablet, with slightly better specifications than its predecessors. The traditionally low price is still there though, so those of you looking for a budget-friendly tablet might just find what they’re looking for in Onda’s new model.

Basic Overview

Aesthetically, the V80 Plus doesn’t really stand out or offer anything new, but the device looks elegant and simple, like most Chinese tablets. The 8-inch display looks vivid, has bright colours and good viewing angles.

High end performance is not something we expect from extremely cheap Chinese tablets, but Onda seem to have been able to bring it up a notch, with their Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 64bit Quad Core 1.44GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM memory. This should be enough to run both operating systems (Windows 10 and Android 5.1) smoothly.

An improvement has not been made in the camera department though, as both the front and the back camera are 2 MP cameras. When Chinese tablet companies manage to produce a device with decent cameras remains to be seen.
