Last Updated on January 4, 2021

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a large screen with a huge virtual keyboard. Typing is facilitated with built in Swype application. Swype allows a user to enter a word by sliding a finger or stylus from letter to letter, lifting only between words. It uses error-correcting algorithms and a language model to guess the word intended.

In terms of multimedia, Galaxy Tab has great sound and screen capabilities. Multimedia applications include 3D photo Gallery. Video plays smoothly in HD resolution. Video player supports also DivX and XviD formats.

The phone section is where Galaxy Tab shows its strong side in comparison to iPad. While iPad has a 3G interface for downloading data only, you can use Galaxy also as a phone. Built in applications like directory, call log and favorite contacts facilitate the use of phone. In this aspect Galaxy can replace your regular phone.

This tablet supports messaging and has an integrated e-mail client. It will work fine with your Gmail and also other POP and IMAP accounts. It also supports a common inbox, so you do not need to check mail for each account separately.

With ThinkFree Office application (reads and writes in Microsoft Office formats), e-mail client, web browser and constant connection to internet trough your mobile provider, Galaxy tab is ready for business use.
